It was a big move for Ilford to create an entirely new film stock in 2024, and it was met with a lot of criticism early on. After shooting the new medium format version, which saw some updates to the chemistry compared to the original 35mm release, I’m pleased to see that the results have improved greatly. As I say in the video, half of the photos I took look like they’re taken on a more established and professional stock such as Kodak Portra 400. The photos shown in square format were taken on my Yashica MAT 124-G, whereas the rectangle frames were taken on my Minolta Hi-Matic AF2.
